EVO 2008 Results
3rd Strike - 9th
Capcom vs SNK 2 - Tied for 3rd in pool
Other games - lol
Can't wait til next year!!!
I realized that working on footsies the whole year paid off in my strong games 3s and cvs2. Adjusting to console on the last 2 weeks of practice paid off and my execution was decent on 3s but terrible on cvs2. Big tournaments really reveal my weaknesses to show that 3s is still very much my dominant game.
As for 3s, Nuki was something else. I was nervous and didn't know what to do against top Japanese Chun. It's also sad because Yun is probably the #1 candidate for defeating Chun (#1 in Japanese tier-listing). Yun is #2. I let that hit me and my game fell apart. His spacing is incredible and almost robotic. I enjoyed playing him very much. No mistakes can be made. Top level Japanese 3s is in a class of its own because the level of discipline that goes into their gaming is incredible and far exceeds most US players.
